New Patron for TADQ
“I was delighted to accept the invitation in 2004 to become TADQ’s first Patron. Having worked as an advocate for not-for-profit sector for many years, I hope to provide guidance on my special interest areas of governance and regulation to the Board and Management of TADQ.
I am a great supporter of TADQ’s unique are of work and dedication in providing a much-needed service to the disability sector.
I look forward to celebrating with TADQ staff and Volunteers in 2006 on reaching 25 years of providing creative technical solutions to disabled people in Queensland”.
About Professor McGregor-Lowndes
Professor McGregor-Lowndes is Director of the Centre of Philanthropy and Non-Profit Studies (CPNS) within theFaculty of Business at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
CPNS is an interdisciplinary research centre on philanthropy, voluntary action and non-profit organisations. Professor McGregor-Lowndes has undergraduate degrees in Law and Arts, a Masters of Public Administration and a Doctorate in the regulation of charitable organisations.
A Justice of the Peace and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Queensland, Professor McGregor-Lowndes was awarded as Order of Australia Medal in 2003 for Community Service.
